Nintendo has released a brand new firmware update for the Nintendo Switch which bumps the system software version to 10.1.0.
First, this firmware update is not limited to console. Nintendo has also released a new update for the Pro controller that has to be to be separately installed from the firmware update.

As for the changelog of this new update, there doesn’t appear to be any comprehensive list of changes. As it is the case with the past updates, this one appears to improve the system stability.
Nintendo has posted the following changelog on its website.
Ver. 10.1.0 (Released July 13, 2020)
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.
As for the Pro controller update, it currently has no changelog available so there is no way to determine what has been fixed with it. You will have to connect your controller to Switch in order to update it.

Nintendo usually releases these firmware updates in order to make some under the hood changes. The minor jump in the version of the firmware confirms that it is related to stability updates. Since Nintendo Switch has been hacked, it is also possible that these updates implement new measures for security.
