Persona 5 Strikers has received a brand new trailer from Atlus giving us a glimpse at its various story events and main villains.
Atlus will release Persona 5 Strikers for PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 on February 23. The game is a spin-off based on Persona 5 and will also act as a sequel to the main game. The story appears to continue from the ending and will feature many new and returning characters.
While the gameplay is completely different, action-based combat instead of turn-based RPG, the overall aesthetics and themes from the game appear to be intact based on all of the gameplay and story trailers that have been released so far.
The latest trailer that was shared by Atlus focuses on the Phantom Thieves who are known for liberating the hearts of the people.
Here is a synopsis of the story taken from the press release sent by Atlus.
As the Phantom Thieves investigate a series of strange cases occurring across Japan, they discover another realm where innocent people are being jailed and forced to forfeit their hearts’ desires by the whims of its ruler. In typical Phantom Thieves style, they’re going to use everything they’ve got to liberate the imprisoned, return their hearts, and strike back against the corruption in their most explosive fight yet!
Persona 5 Strikes will be out on February 23 while those who pre-order the game can get early access to it on February 19. The game is confirmed for the PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
