Pokémon Sword and Shield are getting a Gigantamax Snorlax in Max Raid Battles starting today. Here’s how you can capture this rare Gigantamax Pokémon.

Gigantamax Snorlax is available to capture in Pokémon Sword and Shield from today until January. If you want to get this Pokemon, here is a useful guide to let you know some tips and tricks using which you can capture it easily.

As this is a time-limited event, you need to get it quickly if you want to keep it in your party otherwise the only way to get it will be through a trade.

How To Get Gigantamax Snorlax In Pokémon Sword and Shield

You need to get him through Max Raid Battles. There are a couple of Gigantamax Pokemon that are available in this mode. You can roam around the Wild Area to find purple light emitting stones that award the player with Watts and can include any one of the Gigantamax Pokémon.

  • To get Gigantamax Snorlax, ride on your bike around the Wild Area
  • Start any Max Raid Battle that you can come across on your journey and make sure to complete it
  • It can take a couple of tries, between 5 to 10 depending on your luck, to encounter Gigantamax Snorlax
  • Make sure to save in front of the Max Raid Battles before starting the battle
  • Use a Dusk Ball to capture Gigantamax Snorlax after beating him

  • Exp. Candies L x 1
  • Exp. Candy XL x 2
  • Dynamax Candies x 2

  • Nugget x 1

Gigantamax Snorlax has some great stats. It is best in HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed. It is a Level 70 Snorlax that can be captured through a Max Raid Battle.

Gigantamax Snorlax has the following skill moves available once you capture it. It has the immunity ability.

  • Body Slam
  • Iron Head
  • Crunch
  • Zen Headbutt
