PS Plus users will be able to download Bugsnax as one of the free games during the launch month of PS5 and it doesn’t really require them to own a PS5.
Earlier in October, Sony confirmed that for November, they will be offering three games instead of the usual two. The first two are for PS4 but will be playable on the PS5 through backward compatibility. They are Middle Earth: Shadow of War and Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition. Both of these games can be redeemed through a PSN account if you own a PS Plus subscription.

The bonus game for the launch of the PS5 is Bugsnax, a brand new adventure game from the developers behind Octopath Dadliest Catch. It will be available to redeem for a PS5 from November 12 until January 4, 2021.
Bugsnax is only playable on the PS5 despite the game also releasing for the PS4. However, according to an update on the official Playstation Website, those who have an active PS Plus subscription will be able to redeem the game just fine. However, this isn’t the case with the PS Plus Games Collection that appears to limit to the users on PS5 and won’t carry over to the PS4.

This is a good gesture from Sony because it will allow those who currently have no plans to purchase a PS5 but are planning to get one in the future, to maintain a games library for the PS5 with their PS Plus subscription before they get it.
Bugsnax will be out on November 12 for PS4 and PS5. The game also supports the PS5 exclusive features like Haptic Feedback, Adaptive Triggers, and more.
