Sony has just released a brand new PS5 system software update 24.03-09.20.00 that is out today April 24. Here’s what you need to know about it.
The download size of this update is 1.187 GB. It will vary depending on your region, but generally, it should be under 1.2 GB.
The latest PS5 system software update 24.03-09.20.00 includes several system stability improvements and minor fixes. One significant addition is the expansion of Game Help, which now includes Community Game Help features. When accessing Game Help, players can find hints labeled as Community Game Help in supported games, which are generated from gameplay videos submitted by other players.
Players have the option to actively participate in Community Game Help by allowing their gameplay videos to be automatically captured and contributed to the feature upon review. To opt into this feature, players can navigate to Settings, then Captures & Broadcasts, followed by Captures, and finally Auto Captures. From there, they can select the option to Participate. It’s important to note that participation is voluntary, and players can opt out at any time if they choose to do so.
In addition to this, the update introduces a new feature for Remote Play users. Players can now hide the persistent message “Remote Play connected” that appears during Remote Play sessions. This enhancement allows players to declutter their game screens for a more immersive gaming experience. To utilize this feature, players can access Settings, then System, followed by Remote Play, and finally enable the option to Hide Remote Play Connection Status.
