Rockstar Games hasn’t made any official announcement for Red Dead Redemption 2, which launched for the PS4 and Xbox One in October last year, but the speculation around the PC version hasn’t stopped any time soon.
There is a new rumor making the rounds online about a possible PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 that will be released on July 9th. This version will exclusive to the Epic Games Store along with Rockstar Games Social Club, so you won’t be able to get it on Steam. It will follow the trend of other similar high-profile games releasing exclusively for Epic Games Store and ditching steam like Borderlands 3.

Red Dead Redemption 2 PC version is apparently getting an announcement on April 22, as per the person who leaked this rumor. The origins of the rumor are again 4chan, so there is a very big chance it might be fake. Regardless, it is our job to report on any leaks and speculation so we are posting it here. Rockstar Games has never commented on any leak or rumor so it won’t be possible to get a reply from them regarding this leak.
As for the PC version, it is not the first time the game has been rumored for PC. It was first announced as a console exclusive just like Grand Theft Auto V, and other Rockstar Games releases, but they all usually end up on PC one way or another. It took Grand Theft Auto V more than two years to launch on PC so we might see a similar time frame in the lead up to the PC release.
