The Nvidia RTX 3060 has claimed the title of the most used GPU on Valve’s digital game distribution client, Steam.
In the Steam hardware and software survey for the month of March 2023, it was revealed that the Nvidia RTX 3060 has replaced the GTX 1060 as the GPU most used by players on the platform. The GTX 1060 had held the top spot as the most popular video card on Steam for around 5 years.
The Steam survey stats reveal that over 10% of users play games on the Nvidia RTX 3060, making it the most popular GPU on the platform. Taking the second spot is the RTX 2060, with over 8% users playing games on the video card. That said, the GTX 1060 is still going strong, with over 7% of users running their games on the graphics card. The Nvidia RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti have also seen an increase in usage, earning them the fourth and fifth spot, respectively.
