The Final Fantasy XIV director admitted that the media and fans have been looking forward to seeing the game arrive on Nintendo hardware at some point. He said that the studio wants the popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game to be released on as many devices as possible. He mentioned that the development team at Square Enix’s Creative Studio III is looking towards achieving that goal. According to him, the team is “working towards, making progress” and having discussions, likely with Nintendo. Lastly, he hoped that everyone will look forward to news in this regard in the time to come.

Meanwhile, Creative Studio III’s other title, Final Fantasy XVI, is set to be available for PC on September 17, 2024. The announcement came with the release of a demo, which allows PC players to experience the game’s beginning. Any progress made during this initial segment can be carried over to the full version upon its release, making it possible for players to seamlessly continue their journey. In addition to the main story, the demo includes an Eikonic Challenge mode, specifically designed to showcase the game’s action-packed combat.

Square Enix has also provided detailed system requirements for the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI. The minimum system requirements include an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-8400 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and an AMD Radeon RX 5700, Intel Arc A580, or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card for achieving a frame rate of 30 fps at a resolution of 720p. Furthermore, an SSD and VRAM of 8GB or more are also required.
