A showcase event dedicated to Bethesda’s upcoming action role-playing game, Starfield, is scheduled to happen sometime soon, based on multiple reports.

During the latest episode of The Xbox Two Podcast, Jez Corden and Rand al Thor discussed hearing about a showcase event dedicated to Starfield happening sometime in March, 2023. According to them, the announcement may occur next week and the Starfield Direct will happen mid-March.

Meanwhile, VGC’s Andy Robinson also stated that he’s heard about the announcement regarding a Starfield showcase is imminent. Corden clarified that his sources are different from those of Robinson. With both individuals backing their sources, we’re inclined to believe that a Starfield Direct is indeed scheduled to be announced sometime soon, possibly within a week’s time.

Previously, in an earlier episode of The Xbox Two, Corden responded to a question regarding the release date of Starfield, saying that he is of the opinion that the game will launch in June, 2023. The question asked was specifically regarding the release of Starfield on International Space Flight Day, which is on April 12, 2023. Though, Corden was of the opinion that the game would arrive in stores during the month of June, 2023, based on the information he had received. However, he clarified that this was merely his prediction, even though he’d bet on the game getting delayed beyond June, 2023.

Corden had also revealed some time ago that Starfield is now playable in full from start to finish, and that the game had yet be given an internal release date by the developer. Earlier, a Starfield listing on CDKeys had hinted that the game would release on March 23, 2023. This was in line with Microsoft’s statement regarding its release in the first half of the year. It was also mentioned that it would arrive ahead of Redfall, which now has a release date of May 2, 2023.
