State of Play Announced For April 29, Focused On Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart

Sony has announced a new State of Play in addition to sharing a new gameplay trailer for Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. This will be streamed on April 29.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will be available on June 11, 2021, and release exclusively for the PS5. The game is currently in development at Insomniac Games who showcased a brand new look at it and also revealed the name of the mysterious new Lombax, Rivet.

“Rivet is a Lombax resistance fighter from another dimension, where organic life is hunted by the evil Emperor Nefarious. You saw brand-new locations like Nefarious City, and alternate-dimension twists on old favorites like Sargasso and Torren IV along with a sneak-peak at some new weapons and gameplay mechanics, ” reveals Insomniac Games in a blog post.

Insomniac Games has also shared a look at the five different armors that will be a part of the Deluxe Edition of the game. This includes The Imperial, Scavenger, Android, Rebel, and Hacker suits.

In a tweet, the official PlayStation social media account also quietly dropped the news of a brand new State of Play that will be held on April 29. It will be streamed on 2 pm Pacific / 5 pm Eastern time and also feature roughly 15 minutes of new gameplay from the upcoming Ratchet and Clank.

This will also feature some updates on the existing indie games with a majority of the presentation dedicated to showcasing the new additions and gameplay from Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. In addition to this, Returnal is also expected to launch for the PS5 on April 30 and has a review embargo set just one day prior, on April 29.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will be out on June 11, 2021, and release exclusively for the PS5. The game is being developed by Insomniac Games and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
