The Callisto Protocol has received a surprise update 1.06 today. This appears to release on consoles in addition to the PC update earlier.

While there are no official patch notes shared for this update, it has a minor file size indicating that this is related to some of the bugs that have been reported by the players. Earlier, there was an update to the PC version which promised to fix its stuttering issues. While there are no such performance issues on the PS5, more improvements to bug fixes are always welcome.

These are the patch notes that are listed for the PS4 version of the game while we await a detailed list of changes.

  • General bug fixes, updates, and improvements.

Krafton had earlier shared a statement on the PC version of the game confirming that they will try to address as many problems for the PC port as possible. The game is already suffering from overwhelming negative reviews on Steam.

“We’re aware that some users are experiencing stuttering issues on the PC. We’ve got a patch that will be available in a few hours to improve performance, with a number of additional updates on the way, ” reads the statement.

On consoles like the Xbox Series X, the game has some major issues with performance. It also doesn’t appear to run with any ray-tracing reflections on the Xbox Series X compared to the PS5. This is on top of the performance issues that have been reported in the game so far.

While the PS5 version is a good enough port, it also has issues with some of the bugs including with animation and gameplay. These need to be patched out and as Krafton and the developer Striking Distance Studios have promised, they will be fixed in due time.
