Bethesda Softworks and Virtuos’ action role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, is set for release on Nintendo Switch 2, based on a new rumor.

Universo Nintendo’s necrolipe took to Twitter/X to share that, as per insider and content creator eXtas1stv, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will be receiving a Nintendo Switch 2 port. According to his information, the project is actively being worked on at Bethesda Game Studios at the moment. The game was announced and released simultaneously today for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

If a version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered for Nintendo’s upcoming console is indeed in active development, Bethesda Softworks will undoubtedly be looking to release the game alongside its launch on June 5, 2025. As of writing, the studio has yet to confirm or deny the existence of a Switch 2 version.

Given how The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has issues running on the Steam Deck, it will be interesting to see what sort of graphical cutbacks will be made to get the game up and running on the Switch 2 at a stable frame rate.
