Rumor: The Last of Us Part 2 Release Date Listed On Promotional Material

by Ali Haider

The Last of Us Part 2 release date has been leaked through an alleged promotional material that confirms that the game is out this year.

The Last of Us Part 2 is from Naughty Dog who have previously worked on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for the PS4. Their next project is The Last of Us Part 2, which is a sequel to the smash hit game that originally launched for the PlayStation 3 and was later ported for the PlayStation 4.

The Last of Us Part 2 doesn’t even have a release window despite having multiple trailers and a full gameplay demo released for it. This has led to the rumors that it might be a cross-generation game from Naughty Dog.

This more recent leak is from a retailer based in Peru, LawGamers. In their promotional material for The Last of Us Part 2, they have listed October 2019, as the release date for the game despite there being no official word on it from Sony.

In the world of The Last of Us, September 26 is marked as Outbreak day so if Naughty Dog really wanted a release date for the sequel, they could have worked towards releasing it on that day. Still, this is a rumor that comes from just one specific retailer so we have no idea if this is the actual release date or just a guess from the retailer.

Earlier this year, the game’s composer stated that a release date is coming “very soon” but he didn’t specify when and how it will be announced.
