The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an action-adventure video game currently in development by Daedalic Entertainment and co-published by Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon. Set in J.R.R. Tolkien’s fictional world of Middle-earth, the game explores the story of Gollum eight years before his appearance in The Lord of the Rings. It is scheduled for release on May 25, 2023, for multiple platforms, including Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A Nintendo Switch version will be released later in the same year.

Initially announced by Daedalic Entertainment in March 2019 with a planned release for 2021, the game was pushed to 2022 following the Nacon agreement announcement. On May 24, 2022, the official Twitter page of the game announced a new target release date of September 1, 2022, for Steam and the PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The Nintendo Switch version was revealed to be coming on November 30, 2022. However, on July 25, 2022, the developers announced another delay of “a few months”. After missing the planned 2022 release, Nacon announced that the game would be released in May 2023 for Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, with the Switch version following later in the same year.
