WWE 2K22 is available on different platforms with various resolutions and frame rates. Find out how well it runs on the PS4, PS5, XSX, and XB1.
WWE 2K22 is the first major game after the series took a break due to the disastrous launch of WWE 2K20. It has received a better critical reception but is the game technically better than its predecessor. It is also the first entry to release on the current-generation consoles so what are its benefits?
WWE 2K22 runs at a resolution of 4K and 60 FPS on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The game also supports 60 FPS on the Xbox Series S but at 1440p resolution.
In terms of the last-generation consoles, it supports 60 FPS on them as well. The resolution is just lower on these consoles. It is 1080p on the PS4, 1044p on Xbox One, 1620p on the PS4 Pro. It runs at native 4k on the Xbox One X so there’s that. In other words, the game does appear to render at a higher resolution on the Xbox One X than it does on the Xbox Series S.
The advantage that is offered by the current-generation consoles is that the load times are faster, the shadows and texture are also of higher quality on these consoles. The PC version offers some additional improvements but overall the PS5 and Xbox Series X are pretty decent ports.
WWE 2K22 is available now for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
