Xbox Game Pass Ultimate was one of the rumors that we have covered earlier this month. It is now official and was announced by Microsoft today.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate basically combines the regular Xbox Game Pass subscription that will cost $9.99 per month and the Xbox Live Gold subscription for $4.99 and provide you both of them in a bundle. The benefits here are not much aside from being able to get the price of the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold in their monthly increments when you get their yearly subscription.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offers the Xbox Game Pass subscription that currently includes more than 100 games with new additions almost every month. It also includes Xbox Live Gold which is required for Online Multiplayer and also rewards the subscribers with four free games every month. These are usually divided between the Xbox One and Xbox 360 but playable on the Xbox One through backward compatibility.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will launch later this year. It will be first tested out with Xbox Live Insiders who can get an invite to join this subscription.

Microsoft is currently gathering user feedback and will possibly make changes to the subscription model based on the Xbox Live Insiders testing phase. Maybe, Microsoft will share more information at their E3 2019 press conference later in June.
