Bravely Default 2 has received a demo earlier this year when it was confirmed that the game will arrive in 2020. Despite the start of Fall, there is no mention of a release date for the game. Nintendo and Square Enix have been silent regarding the release date which has led to some fans speculate that it might be pushed out of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting game development.

As it turns out, this might not be the case since the game was just rated in Australia. The Australian Rating Board is quite reliable when it comes to expecting release date announcements for games that are published by Nintendo. They have rated games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons before their official release date.
Bravely Default 2 is a sequel to the critically acclaimed JRPG that launched on the Nintendo 3DS. It was followed by a successor called Bravely Second: End Layer, however, it wasn’t a proper sequel as per Square Enix. The follow up on Nintendo Switch has been appropriately titled as Bravely Default 2 making it clear that this will be a proper sequel.
