Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Coming To Xbox Game Pass, Announcement Expected This Week

Update: Xbox has now officially confirmed that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be available day one with Game Pass.

The official Game Pass app has revealed the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 coming to the premium subscription service. A push notification was seen for the official Xbox Game Pass app which appears to confirm the earlier rumors that Microsoft will bring Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Xbox Game Pass. The notification appears to originate from the Xbox Game Pass app which has similarly leaked announcements in the past.

Windows Central editor Jez Corden confirmed that this announcement is real and will happen later this week. While the announcement only appears to mention Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, rumors appear to suggest that more games might be appearing on the Xbox Game Pass subscription later this year as Microsoft plans to leverage their Activision acquisition to bolster their catalog of games for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the latest entry in the long-running series. It will be a continuation of the Call of Duty app, which is how Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trilogy was released. It is also heavily rumored to be a cross-generation release and will be available on PS4 and Xbox One, in addition to a rumored launch on the next Nintendo hardware.
