Cyberpunk 2077 Will Release On Two-Discs For PS4, Minimum File Size Revealed

by Ali Haider

Cyberpunk 2077 will come on two-discs for the PS4 according to a leaked shot of the box art. It also has a minimum of 70 GB file size on PS4.

After CD Projekt Red delayed Cyberpunk 2077 from its November 19 release date to December 10, they cited the current-generation consoles along with extra polish for the game as one of the main reasons for the delay. The game was apparently ready to be played on PC and next-generation consoles but had some technical issues on the PS4 and Xbox One.

It has been a while since the news of the delay, and CD Projekt Red has announced another Night City Wire stream for November 19. This stream will share more details on the game.

CD Projekt Red hasn’t shown the current-generation version of Cyberpunk 2077. While the game was delayed, a reddit user whose company apparently works in marketing for CD Projekt Red first shared new promotional material that marketed the December 10 release date.

Company I work for has just been sent all this promo stuff! Its deffo out on the 10th

He later followed it up with the official box shots from the game. In these images, we can see some of the information including the required minimum file size for the game in addition to the confirmation that it will come on two-discs.

Here is the look at the back cover that reveals that the minimum file size is roughly 70 GB.

The front of the cover confirmed that the game comes on two discs. It will also offer the following bonus with any of the physical copies.

  • World Compendium
  • Stickers
  • Post Cards
  • Game Map
  • Digital Content Access

It is not surprising to see this huge file size for Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4, and presumably the Xbox One. While we don’t have any idea of the file size for the PS5 and Xbox Series X version, they are likely going to be the same because there is no native next-generation version available at launch. It will come with a free upgrade in 2021 as announced by CD Projekt Red.
