Elden Ring Update 1.013 Released Today With Nerfs To Perfume Bottle

From Software has recently released update 1.013 for Elden Ring, which introduces several minor adjustments and bug fixes. Notably, the Perfume Bottle has been nerfed to prevent players from exploiting it to create multiple simultaneous explosions, thereby balancing the gameplay. Additionally, a bug related to Smithscript weapons granting extra Attack Rating, when infused with Sacred or Flame Art, has been addressed in this update.

While the official patch notes for Elden Ring update 1.013 have not been released yet, it was earlier confirmed that an update was scheduled for July 4th to address balance issues and other reported bugs.

Following the update, some players have encountered unexpected bugs, such as being teleported to random locations upon loading their save files.

In a prior update, From Software addressed difficulty concerns by revising the attack and damage negation curve scaling of the Scadutree Blessing. This entailed increasing the attack and damage negation for the first half of the maximum amount of Blessing enhancements, while the second half now scales more gradually. Furthermore, the attack and damage negation provided by the final level of Blessing enhancements has been slightly boosted.

It’s important to note that, unlike the previous server-side calibration update, this latest patch is a downloadable one.

Elden Ring is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. The game received its first major expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, back in June. It has sold over 25 million copies worldwide. Also, George R. R. Martin, one of the writers for the game, has hinted at an adaptation being in the works.
