Polyphony Digital is bringing 4 new cars to Gran Turismo 7 in update 1.59 next week on May 16, 2025, and here are the patch notes.
According to the Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi, update 1.59 for Gran Turismo 7 is planned to arrive next week on May 16, 2025, starting 10 PM PT, and it will add 4 new cars to the game. He has teased the update with the usual image that reveals silhouettes of the cars, encouraging diehard fans to guess their make and model. Thus, we have put together a list of cars that we believe may be the ones added to the game in the coming update.

Main Features Implemented
1. Cars
– The following 4 cars have been added:
- Toyota Land Cruiser 250
- Identified by the flat roof, upright stance, roofline shape
- The silhouette fits the profile of Prado
- Abarth 1300 OT Periscopio
- Identified by the rounded front, cabin silhouette, and short rear
- Distinctive “periscope” intake bump is somewhat visible
- Tesla Model 3 Performance
- Identified by the smooth coupe-like roofline, long and sleek body with EV-like clean lines
- The front fender bulge indicates the newer Model 3 body updates
- Subaru Impreza WRX STi (2000s)
- Identified by the classic rally-bred silhouette with the hood scoop faintly visible
- The shape is consistent with the “Blobeye” or “Bugeye” generation
GT7 was developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is the eighth chapter in the mainline Gran Turismo series. It was revealed during the PlayStation 5 reveal event on June 11, 2020, and was released on March 4, 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, making it the series’ first multi-console entry. On PS5 Pro, Gran Turismo 7 delivers ray traced reflections on both car exteriors and interiors during gameplay along with PSSR AI upscaling technology to deliver more realistic graphics while maintaining crisp image quality.
