Sony is letting PS4 users pre-load the upcoming Season 6 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that patches the game to version 1.27.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will get a new season with an update in the coming week. As it is the case with most updates to Modern Warfare and the Warzone free-to-play battle royale, they are mostly huge which means it takes a lot of time to download them.

Sony has prompted users who have Modern Warfare or Warzone installed on their consoles to pre-load the updates, and this is happening now with the upcoming Season 6 patch as well.
The download size of this upcoming update is roughly 20 GB as seen on PS4. This should be available to download from today and appears to add content for Season 6 that Activision had revealed earlier this week.
This update will be available on all platforms beginning from September 29. While the size of this update is smaller on PS4, it is usually larger on Xbox One, in some cases as huge as 80 GB. This is due to the way this update unpacks and installs new files on the Xbox One.
