Brand new photographs of Joy-Cons for the unannounced Nintendo Switch successor, dubbed Switch 2, have apparently been leaked.
A user on Chinese online forum Baidu Tieba (via) has shared photographs of what they claim to be the retail version of Joy-Cons for the unannounced Nintendo Switch 2 console. If legitimate, the images would confirm a prior leak regarding the color scheme being beneath the controller’s surface. The serial number of the Joy-Con shown is also visible in one of the pictures.
New Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons Leaked Photos
Leaked pictures of the Switch 2 Joy-Cons can be seen below.
In their post, the leaker mentioned that they were only able to gain access to Switch 2 Joy-Cons, and not the console itself. They called out to anyone who is in possession of the console unit to help them in testing out the controller’s new features. However, they did not mentioned what these features are.
Recently, Reddit insider NextHandheld had claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons will include a “surprise feature” as well as the ability to be detached from the console via a rear button. They also said that the controllers will feature hall effect analog sticks. Earlier, a user on Bilibili had shared alleged pictures of the new Joy-Cons. The images showed a view of the IR cameras, larger SL and SR buttons, and an extra button on the back that looks like a pedal.
According to NextHandheld, the Nintendo Switch successor is expected to be announced this month in January, 2025. As per them, the console’s logo is essentially comprised of a large “2” next to the original logo, and this is in line with the image of the logo seen on the dock.
As always, we encourage our readers to take such rumors with a grain of salt until there is confirmation via official channels.
