Nintendo Switch firmware update 10.0.4 has launched today implementing a region-specific bug fix for the console. Here’s what you need to know about it.
Nintendo has released a minor firmware update for Switch. This update has started to roll out worldwide from today. If you were having issues with adding funds to your account to purchase games, it is apparently resolved with this update. You should be able to add funds with a credit card depending on your region where it was not possible to do so.

Nintendo hasn’t issued a list of the regions that were affected with this bug but they have confirmed this change in the patch notes for the Nintendo Switch firmware update 10.0.4.

We have fixed the issue where it was not possible in some countries or regions to add funds using a new credit card or to register credit card information in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.
The main use for this was to avail the opportunity of Switch being a region free console. Sometimes, it is possible to get a game cheaper from a different region, and many users have done this in the past.
