PlayStation will be hosting a State of Play event on February 23, 2023, during which the console maker plan to make multiple announcements.
The very first State of Play event is scheduled to occur this Thursday on February 23, 2023, at 1pm Pacific / 4pm Eastern / 9pm GMT / 10pm CET on Twitch and YouTube. Fans can expect a new look at some anticipated games from PlayStation’s third-party partners, as well as a first glimpse at 5 PS VR2 games that are set to arrive later this year.
Additionally, the event will feature over 15 minutes of all-new gameplay details and updates on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the next game from Rocksteady Studios.
In prior news related to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a screenshot from the game had leaked online, revealing that it may feature a battle pass. Going by the details visible in the leaked screenshot, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League features a battle pass, possibly for cosmetics. The game turning out to be a Game As A Service title does not come as surprising, given that it is online-focused and features 4-player co-op support. Therefore, players will likely have the opportunity to personalize the appearance of each of the main characters featured in the game.
Other options available to players include the standard mode, chapter, and difficulty selection along with matchmaking settings. In addition, the tab at the top features a slew of options, ranging from squad selection, looks customization, and a section dedicated to talents, possibly including some sort of a skill tree.
Additionally, the menu features a section dedicated to social features, which likely allows players to maintain an in-game friends list and possibly play with people on other platforms via crossplay. Rounding up the list of menu options is a section dedicated to the battle pass, an in-game store, a section for codex, and an options sub-menu for game configuration.
