Some of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s first-party PlayStation Studios may be developing their future titles using Guerrilla Games’ Decima engine.

Huntjens has been working as Senior Producer at Guerrilla Games since April, 2024. Since then, she has been involved in mMathew Seymour, former Senior Game Designer at Bend Studio, had been involved in the development of the studio’s unannounced title prior to his departure in November, 2024. His LinkedIn profile had mentioned the Decima engine among the tools that he’s worked with for this project, suggesting that the game is being developed using Guerrilla Games’ in-house engine.
According to the ArtStation profile of concept artist Hung Nguy, the unannounced title from Bend Studio will be released this year in 2025. As per his resume, he has worked on the game as a concept artist. It was also revealed via the LinkedIn profile of Alexander Manresa, Principal and Lead Technical Animator at Bend Studio, that the studio is using motion matching technology to implement more realistic and seamless animations in its next title. Previous games to use the technology include Ubisoft’s For Honor, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2, and Valve’s Half-Life: Alyx.
It was also reported that Bend Studio’s upcoming project will be an open world game, much like its previous title, Days Gone. The unannounced project is said to be targeting “Cinematic-Quality” Facial Animation, 3D Audio, and possibly online multiplayer. The LinkedIn profile of Senior Staff Technical Artist, James Sathre mentioned working on next-generation lighting workflow tools. The development team had assigned a senior lead designer, Ron Allen, to work specifically on the open world and mission design component of the project.
