Sony Reveals Release Window of Several Upcoming PS5 Exclusives

by Ali Haider

CES 2021 is currently underway, and Sony made an appearance at the event just like it does every year to promote the PS5 alongside a bunch of other products.

The company showed off a bunch of the new tech that they’ve been developing, but the most interesting thing for those of us who enjoy video games was perhaps the section of their presentation that they dedicated to, well, video games.

PS5 Upcoming Exclusives In 2021

There was a very brief moment during the Sony presentation, where a list of all the exclusives that are scheduled to come to the PS5 within the next 24 or so months, and their potential release dates showed up on screen.

Now the list you see below is clearly not all of the games seen in the image, but they are the ones that are exclusive to the PS5. We already knew about some of these release dates beforehand, but others had not been revealed before:

  • Project Athia – January 2022.
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – 2021.
  • Horizon Forbidden West – 2021.
  • Returnal – March 2021.
  • Kena – March 2021.
  • Solar Ash – June 2021.
  • Stray – October 2021.
  • GhostWire: Tokyo – October 2021.

The most surprising game in this list is Project Athia and it’s release date of January 2022. This is an extremely ambitious release frame for a game that does not even have a working title so far, but clearly, Square Enix feels capable in its ability to deliver this game within a year from now.

It’s also nice to see that GhostWire: Tokyo is set to come out in October of this year. Yes, this game is technically exclusive to the PlayStation 5 only for a year, but it still counts as far as I’m concerned.
