Capcom has announced an update for Street Fighter 5 for this Winter. It will bring in a new bonus DLC fighter Eleven and make a couple of changes.

Earlier, we had reported on a leak that suggested Eleven as one of the DLC fighters. Turns out that this is a bonus fighter that will be released for the owners of Season Pass 5. This Season Pass is confirmed to add four new fighters with a fifth one hidden away. This will be revealed at a later date.

The confirmed fighters for Street Fighter 5 Season Pass 5 so far are as follow.

  • Dan
  • Rose
  • Oro
  • Akira
  • ???
  • Eleven (Bonus)

Capcom is planning to release a significant update for the game on February 22. This will bring the first DLC fighter Dan and introduce some changes to the basic gameplay mechanics.

While Dan is confirmed for February 22, Rose is the second DLC fighter for Season Pass 5 and will be released later in Spring.

Those who don’t own the Season Pass can still look forward to new changes including a V-Shift mechanic. As explained by Capcom, “This new defensive mechanic allows you to get out of tough situations. It can be executed at virtually any time in a match at the cost of one bar of V-Gauge and if timed correctly, will allow you to execute a fully invincible backdash that slows down time for a short period and allows you to plan your next move against to counter your opponent’s attack.”

Street Fighter 5 is available now for the PS4 and PC.
