by Ali Haider

The Last of Us Part 2 is one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusives and naturally there is a lot of excitement regarding its release date, and now we have an idea on when it might launch on PS4.

The Last of Us Part 2 lead character is Ellie who will be voiced by Ashley Johnson. In a recent interview where she was asked about her work playing as Ellie in the sequel, she casually dropped a hint that could be for The Last of Us Part 2 release date.

In an interview with Brian Foster of Critical Role, Ashley Johnson was asked about the release date for this upcoming game and as she is about to say something, her answer was cut short by the host. If you do keep ears open and listen carefully, she mentions “Fe” before getting cut off so this most likely means it is February 2020 when the game will launch on PS4.

To further add to this rumor, we have heard from a credible source, Kotaku’s Editor Jason Schrier, that the game was targetting an internal release date set in 2019 but was pushed back to early 2020. He had said that games like The Last of Us Part 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Final Fantasy VII Remake will be all out in the first half of 2020 and two of these were just confirmed at E3 2019. Jason didn’t really drop a month but he did say that the game could possibly arrive in February.
