HBO and Sony Interactive Entertainment/Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us is recognized as the top TV series of the year 2023 by IMDb.
According to IMDB, The Last of Us is the top TV series of 2023, followed by Ahsoka at #2, and Succession at #3. The ranking page states that these 10 TV and streaming series that released new episodes in 2023 consistently ranked highest on the IMDbPro weekly TV rankings throughout the year. The rankings are based on the actual page views from more than 200 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide.
IMDb states that, as the biggest TV story of the year, it was inevitable that The Last of Us was going to be the top series of 2023 worldwide. It mentions that the show helped propel Pedro Pascal (four weeks at #1 on STARmeter) into viral superstardom and Bella Ramsey (one week at #1) delivered more of the same charm that made her a fan favorite on Game of Thrones.

In related news, it was recently reported that the soon to be released The Las of Us Part 2 Remastered will feature a roguelike mode called No Return that will offer 12 different level layouts. As seen in the announcement trailer, this includes areas based on Jackson, the subway region, the WLF outpost, and other parts of Seattle from the story mode. The trailer also revealed that it will be possible to play the roguelike mode as Tommy, Dina, Jesse, Lev, Mel, in addition to other unlockable characters.
