The month in which Ubisoft’s latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, is set for release has allegedly been leaked via a GameStop employee.
The alleged GameStop employee took to Reddit to reveal details regarding the month in which Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled for release. They mentioned that the computer at their workplace has marketing details for upcoming games, including Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which has yet to receive an official release date from publisher Ubisoft. The individual appeared confident about the information they were sharing, and also asked Reddit mods to verify their credentials.
Based on the screenshot shared by the alleged GameStop employee, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set for release in August, 2023. Retailers tend to receive a tentative release schedule for games prior to public announcements from game publishers, therefore, if true, this wouldn’t be out of the ordinary. We’re inclined to believe that August is likely to the month of release for the latest Assassin’s Creed title. Ubisoft has yet to confirm or deny this information. It’s likely that an official release date will be announced by the publisher sometime soon.
Previously, it was reported that Assassin’s Creed Mirage may be the very first game to be released on the Infinity platform. In its recent issue, Jeux Video, one of the most prominent video games magazines in France, had stated that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released on the Infinity launcher. This is in contrast to what Ubisoft had stated last year in September about Assassin’s Creed Red being the first game to launch on the platform.
For the uninitiated, Assassin’s Creed: Infinity is the title or codename for an upcoming game hub for the Assassin’s Creed series. It will be a live-service platform featuring a multiplayer component and a wide range of historical settings.
