The update that was released recently was first launched on PC and PS4 this Friday followed by the Xbox consoles a whole day later. The patch notes for this update 1.04 mention some performance and visual improvements.
First, we have a video from the YouTube channel that compares the new update across PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS5.
According to the analysis done by the channel, this update has led to a slightly better resolution on all PlayStation consoles. The PS4 resolution has been increased from 720p to 792p. This should apply to other consoles as well.
Other fixes that are included as part of this update are tweaks to lighting, improved textures, and more. Althugh, this doesn’t completely fix the terrible performance of the PS4 version.
We also have a comparison of the game courtesy of reddit after the new update on the Xbox Series X. This shows how the blurry visuals are no longer a problem after this patch. You can view it in a slider browser to get a better idea.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X through backward compatibility.
