The newly announced Deadpool Xbox controller includes a hilarious feature that’s true to the Marvel character – detachable butt cheeks.
Xbox has partnered with Deadpool to celebrate the arrival of Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine at theaters on July 26, 2024. The collaboration involves a custom Xbox Wireless Controller based on the Marvel character. It turns out that the butt cheeks are magnetically attached to the controller, and can therefore be detached very easily.

Given how the butt cheeks are cosmetic addition to the custom Xbox controller, the ability to remove them ensures that they don’t interfere with the controller’s functionality during gameplay. Getting a proper grip on the controller would certainly have been an issue without the ability to remove the attachment. What’s there for the sake of humor would have quickly turned into a frustrating addition. Additionally, had the butt cheeks not been detachable, there would have been no way to reach the battery pack for replacing batteries. For those wondering where to put away the attachment while doing a lengthy session of gaming, they’d probably look swell on a refrigerator!
The Deadpool Xbox controller is available through a global sweepstakes, giving one lucky fan a chance to win along with other custom Xbox hardware. Furthermore, on July 22, the first 1,000 fans who purchase an Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core from the Microsoft store will receive an exclusive Cable Guys Deadpool Controller Holder by EXG Pro. These Deadpool-themed controller holders are only available in North America and Canada, and only while supplies last.
The Cheeky Controller features a firm yet comfortable grip and is dressed in his iconic red and black tactical suit. Fans aged 18 and over can enter to win by following Xbox on Twitter/X and retweeting the official sweepstakes post starting today. Participants could also win custom Xbox hardware, including a Deadpool-inspired Xbox Series X and stand with foam versions of Deadpool’s katanas, Bea and Arthur, and two Xbox Wireless Controllers.
