EA Vancouver and EA Romania’s latest entry in the football game series, EA Sports FC 24, is now available on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and if you’re on the fence about which version to pick up, read ahead.
The game only offers a single display mode on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, with equivalent graphical settings across both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series S version has some minor cutbacks in some settings, such as detail on character models. On PC, it is possible to run EA Sports FC 24 at max settings and get a slight visual advantage over the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions.
In terms of resolution, both the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions run at a resolution of dynamic 4K (2160p). Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S runs the game at a dynamic resolution of 1440p.
With regards to performance, the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S versions target a frame rate of 60 fps and, for the most part, adhere to it during gameplay. In-game cinematics are capped at a frame rate of 30 fps, however. The PC version also performs well, and is able to run above 60 fps on capable hardware.
All in all, regardless of whether one plays EA Sports FC 24 on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS5, or PC, the experience is great, with stable performance across the board. It ultimately comes down to your preferred e-sports platform and choice of choice of controller.
