This is the 10th mystery game offered by Epic Games Store this month, following Ghostrunner 2, which was available on December 27. The Epic Games Store continues its giveaway in celebration of their holiday deals, offering a new game daily.
Earlier hints and leaks were shared on Reddit about the giveaway games, but Epic Games seems to have caught up, and there have been no new hints since Control.
