Square Enix has shared a release date for the Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster and detailed the new features that will be a part of this new release.

After releasing the first four games in the series with a new pixel remaster that maintains the classic nostalgic visuals while bringing in new changes and quality-of-life improvements, Square Enix is finally moving ahead and releasing the fifth entry.

Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster will be available to download and play from Steam on November 10. It comes with the following new features.

  • Universally updated 2D pixel graphics redrawn for modern hardware, featuring iconic FINAL FANTASY character pixel designs created by the original artist and current collaborator, Kazuko Shibuya
  • Beautifully rearranged soundtracks, overseen by the original composer, Nobuo Uematsu
  • Improved gameplay, including modernized UI, auto-battle options, and more
  • Quality-of-life improvements including supplemental extras like the bestiary, illustration gallery, music player and the ability to save at any time

You can purchase it from Steam where it is available individually for $15.99, or as part of a bundle for $65.46. This bundle will include the whole Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection. The last one, Final Fantasy 6, still doesn’t have a release date.

While Square Enix hasn’t announced the game coming to consoles yet, they did reveal that this new pixel remaster collection will replace the original ports of the games on PC and Smartphones. The mobile version is still not out yet while the games are available on PC.
