The pre-load date and download size for Deep Silver and Warhorse Studios’ upcoming action role-playing game, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, have been revealed.
PlayStationSize on Twitter/X has revealed the pre-load date and download size for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 on PS5, courtesy of recent database entries made to PlayStation servers. The action role-playing game will take up a large amount of storage space. Those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to clear up some space in advance. It goes without saying that storage expansion options are available for those who need them.

The pre-load for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on PS5 will come with the latest update i.e. version 1.010.000, pre-installed for anyone who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to release on February 4, 2025. Meanwhile, those who purchased the game on disc will need to download the update. Those who pre-ordered the game will be able to pre-load it on February 2, 2025.
The review embargo for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is expected to be lifted on launch day. While the exact time has not been confirmed, it will likely follow typical patterns, with the embargo lifting at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET / 9 AM CET.
During a recent developer livestream, Warhorse Studios Design Lead Prokop Jirsa joined PR Manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling to share that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will feature multiple endings. When writing the story for the first game, the studio’s main idea was to create a journey from a young boy to a man, or, in other words, a coming-of-age plot. In the upcoming sequel, however, it’s a journey from a man to a warrior. As per the developers, the important distinction here is that Henry will never become a hero.
