The latest entry in the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, has an Easter egg that pays tribute to Breaking Bad.
New gameplay footage has emerged from the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 campaign, which features a certain Easter egg from Breaking Bad. The Easter egg is the popular RV that was featured in the show. It played a pivotal role in the lives of fictional characters Walter White and Jesse Pinkman.
The Breaking Bad Easter Egg in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is found on the Ground War map called Santa Sena. The aforementioned map will also be a part of the Al-Mazrah Warzone map. There is an RV on the highway that has bullet holes covered in tape. This is a reference to the show’s pilot episode, where Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are attacked.
However, they manage to trick their attackers by poisoning them with red phosphorous and locking them inside the RV. One of the attackers tries to shoot the RV’s door from the inside, leaving five bullet holes. Later on, Jesse covers the bullet holes with duct tape. The same duct taped covered bullet holes can be seen on the RV in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is the sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which was released in 2019. On October 25, 2019, the latter was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It is the sixteenth installment in the Call of Duty series and a reboot of the Modern Warfare sub-series.
The previous game took place in a realistic modern-day setting. The campaign featured a CIA officer and British SAS soldiers as they fought Russian invaders and Al-Qatala terrorists alongside rebels from the fictitious country of Urzikstan. The game’s Special Ops mode provided cooperative play missions that followed the plot.
