A Persona 3 remake is rumored to be in development, and it is said to offer the same visuals and art style as that of Persona 5 Royal.
Reset Era member lolilolailo has previously leaked the arrival of Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal on Xbox Game Pass last year as well as the release of Taiko no Tatsujin on Xbox months before its official announcement.
According to them, the reason for the existence of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden is because they are relatively low cost ports of PS2 and PSP games. In their words, porting them over is “easy money”, allowing more prominent titles from the saga to be available on current-gen platforms.
Regarding the Persona 3 remake, they said that it will be similar to Persona 5, both in terms of visuals and aesthetics as well as Quality of Life additions. They also hinted at the possibility of content being cut from Persona 3 Portable for the remake, which may not fare well with some fans.
Previously, PlayStation trophies for the remastered version of Persona 3 Portable were revealed ahead of its release next year on January 19, 2023. There are a total of 36 trophies for trophy hunters to acquire in Persona 3 Portable, of which there are 5 Gold, 5 Silver and 25 Bronze trophies.
Persona 3 Portable, an enhanced port of Persona 3 for the PlayStation Portable, was originally released on November 1, 2009, in Japan, and on July 6, 2010, in North America. The protagonist’s first Persona, Orpheus, has a different appearance based on the gender chosen by the player. In addition to the new playable character, there are two new difficulty levels to select from alongside the original game’s three.
Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will be available on January 19, 2023. They are launching for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The latest game in the series is Persona 5 Royal, which is out now on each of the aforementioned platforms.
