Atlus has announced multiple Persona 5 projects today with a mysterious teaser. These Persona 5 ‘R’ projects were shown with a PlayStation logo in the beginning hinting that PS4 is the platform for them.
Persona 5 ‘R’ is a new website registered by Atlus. As we have reported earlier about the domain registration by them and the rumor that it is a Persona 5 re-release with additional content that might release on the Nintendo Switch as well.
The teaser trailer that debuted alongside the new Dark Sun animation featured no major footage of any game but simply had a short glimpse at ‘new projects’ beginning with a PlayStation logo and ending with the font P5R, which is basically the website that was registered by Atlus.
The official website for P5R is live now but there is no information about the platforms at all. The only hint that is shown for the platforms is in the trailer, so we have to wait and see the official announcement with more info in March 2019 to get a better idea about it.
Persona 5 was originally released for the PS3 and PS4 in Japan in 2016 followed by a launch in the West in 2017. The game has yet to see a release on any other platforms while the Persona series remains exclusive to PlayStation consoles just like Shin Megami Tensei is exclusive to the Nintendo platform.
