The Lost Crown is a 2.5D side-scrolling action-adventure platform video game featuring the protagonist, Sargon. Sargon is capable of jumping, sliding, and air dashing for swift platform traversal. His pair of blades can be utilized to combat enemies, and a well-timed parry builds up Sargon’s Athra’s Glow, unlocking a special ability when completely filled. Players can access various time-based powers for both combat and platforming, such as Rush of the Simurgh for instantaneous time travel and Shadow of the Simurgh, allowing the placement of a temporary checkpoint. Additionally, Sargon can be equipped with talismans that modify his abilities. The game also includes elements typically seen in Metroidvania video games.
