Resident Evil 3 Remake Has a Very Small Day One Patch For Bug Fixes

by Ali Haider

Resident Evil 3 Remake is out on April 3. The demo for the game is available to download now in addition, there is a day one update available now.

Resident Evil 3 Remake file size has been revealed for the Xbox One. It is a bundle that contains the base game and Resident Evil Revelations multiplayer spin-off. The official Microsoft Store lists the file size of the bundle as 43 GB combined. The individual file size is a little different with the RE 3 Remake taking roughly 22 GB space and Resident Evil Resistance requiring 20.5 GB space.

This brings us to the day one patch which is live on the official PlayStation servers. There is no changelog to suggest what is included in the update aside from a vague mention of “bug fixes” which are generic patch notes for any Capcom game update on PS4.

The official PlayStation Store has been updated to mention a minimum file size of 25 GB, which is around the same size as the Xbox One version. Expect the final retail version of the game to require roughly under 25 GB of hard disk space on the PS4.

The download size of this patch is roughly 220 MB so this should give you an idea of the update size. It is honestly quite small for a game of this caliber and shows that Capcom is releasing a polished product at launch instead of lengthy updates like most of the recently released games.
