Bethesda Softworks has announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition in addition to a free upgrade for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Skyrim Anniversary Edition is a brand new edition of the game that can be purchased separately. It will be available as a paid upgrade for the existing owners of Skyrim Special Edition. While the price of the upgrade wasn’t specified, this version contains a lot more content.
Those who already own the Special Edition release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim can get additional Creation Club content, three to be exact. They will bring Fishing, Survival Mode, and even new Saints and Seducers missions are all available for free.
As for the changes in the Skyrim Anniversary Edition, this version includes the complete game, all three expansions, and over 500 pieces of exclusive Creation Club material, including pre-existing and new quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells, and more.
If you were hoping to get it all for free on Xbox Game Pass, this won’t be the case. You will have to purchase the upgrade to the new edition even if you are a subscriber. While the price hasn’t been mentioned, it can end up somewhere between $19.99 to $29.99 as a ballpark guess.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the best-selling WRPGs that was first released for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. It has been ported to the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and will now release for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S when the new upgrade launches later this year. As for the Anniversary Edition, it is due out on November 11, 2021.
