State of Play Rumored For September, Official YouTube Playlist Updated

PlayStation State of Play is rumored for September. Additionally, the official YouTube channel for PlayStation has added several private videos.

State of Play is a live-streamed event by Sony which showcases new game announcements or gives update on existing ones. Sony has shared major announcements during some of the State of Play events including revealing games like Resident Evil 3 Remake and sharing the design of the PlayStation 5.

Sony has yet to reveal the official price of PlayStation 5 but they have put a page on the official website for PlayStation 5 where people can register to stay notified of any pre-orders for the PS5. They will get a notification when the console is available to pre-order.

As the PS5 is out in Holiday 2020, Sony is reportedly going to hold another State of Play in September after the last one in August, which was focused on PS4 and PSVR announcements. Evidence for this has been discovered with an update to the playlist on PlayStation France and PlayStation Latinoamerica. Four new private videos were added to the PlayStation France playlist while one of them was added to PlayStation Latinoamerica.

Some of the announcements that are rumored for next month are a possible Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster, Final Fantasy XVI, and Prince of Persia Remake. They could show up at this upcoming State of Play, or they could be revealed in a separate event since Ubisoft has their Ubisoft Forward while Microsoft is also rumored to host their own event in September for Xbox Series X.
