The First Berserker: Khazan has received a new hotfix update 1.004.004 today across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This patch addresses a variety of bugs that have affected mission progression, interaction systems, and boss fights. The update aims to improve gameplay stability and ensure players receive key rewards, particularly for completing challenging content.

The hotfix began rolling out on April 9, 2025, at 5:00 AM UTC, though release timing may differ slightly depending on platform. Players are advised to update to the latest version before launching the game to ensure access to these fixes.

Common Fixes

  • Corrected a bug that allowed players to repeatedly receive Khazan’s Memories Vengeance Points by completing the “Stormpass’s Phantom of Combat” bonus mission multiple times.
  • Fixed a problem where canceling interactions with NPCs would cause the Interaction and ESC keys to stop responding in some cases.
  • Resolved an issue preventing completion of Daphrona’s Codex if a monster was first defeated before codex requirements were met, then defeated again afterward.
  • Fixed missing visual effects for projectile skills used by certain bosses including Ilyna, Reese, and Trokka.
  • Fixed an issue where players were not granted the Master of Chaos Scroll after defeating Ozma on the True Ending route.
  • Note: Players who previously cleared this content will now automatically receive the scroll in their inventory.

Platform-Specific Fix (PlayStation 5)

  • Resolved a memory spike issue that could cause the game to crash when players opened their inventory.

Additional Information

Players encountering crashes can recover their save data by selecting the “Recover” option from the title screen’s Load menu. Up to three backup saves can be restored this way. Instructions are also provided for sending log and save files to the developers, particularly for PC users, to aid in debugging.

Furthermore, the development team acknowledged ongoing problems related to achievement tracking and other in-game issues. They confirmed that additional fixes are in development and will be delivered in future updates. The team extended an apology for the inconvenience and reiterated their commitment to ensuring a stable and enjoyable gameplay experience.
