During Gamescom, CD Projekt Red has confirmed the release date for the game. According to the official announcement trailer, it will be out on October 15, 2019. The game is expected to launch in both retail and physical format for the Nintendo Switch.
The Witcher franchise led CD Projekt Red to new heights. The Witcher 3 itself has sold more than 20 million copies so far which is comparable to the same level of success as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim by Bethesda Softworks. It continues to sell well for CD Projekt Red and the Nintendo Switch version should further contribute to its success.

CD Projekt Red has also shared a bunch of new screenshots for the game on their official Twitter account. This gives the fans a glimpse at what to expect from the game when running it on the Nintendo Switch, which is undoubtedly lower in power than its PS4 and Xbox One counterparts. The game still looks decent enough when running on the hardware.
The game is available to pre-order at the various retail stores or through Nintendo eShop. It is expected to launch on October 15, 2019. You can get it for $59.99.
