The main menu and brand new gameplay footage from Sony Interactive Entertainment and Team Asobi’s upcoming 3D platformer, Astro Bot, have leaked ahead of launch.
The leaked Astro Bot footage, featuring the main menu and some fresh gameplay, has been shared by an individual who happened to receive their physical copy a little sooner than expected. The physical edition comes with an Astro Bot comic strip, and the inner disc case features artwork based on some of the cameo appearances in the game. Additionally, the packaging includes a leaflet that contains codes for the pre-order bonus content, including the Lovestruck Lyricist outfit, the Glorious Graffiti Dual Speeder color, and 2 unique PSN avatars.

The title menu for the upcoming Astro Bot resembles the one seen in the PSVR title, Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, and Astro’s Playroom.
In related news, Astro Bot is now available for pre-load on PS5, and, as a result, the game’s download size has been revealed. The 3D platformer will take up a reasonable amount of storage space on the console. Regardless, those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to make room in advance. It goes without saying that storage expansion options are available on Microsoft’s current-gen platforms for those who need them. The digital pre-load should come with the latest update pre-installed, although a day one update may be rolled out closer to launch on September 6, 2024. Additonally, in a recent issue of Famitsu magazine, it was revealed that new levels and speed run stages are planned as DLC for Astro Bot before the end of 2024. It wasn’t mentioned whether this content will be paid, it’s likely for it to be free given how all of the DLC added to Astro’s Playroom was free of cost.
