The download size and digital pre-load date for Cygames’ upcoming action role-playing game, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, has been revealed.
PlayStationSize on Twitter has revealed the pre-load date and download size for Granblue Fantasy: Relink, courtesy of recent database entries made to PlayStation servers. The latest entry in the Granblue Fantasy franchise will be taking up a moderate amount of storage space on PS4 but over twice of that on PS5. Those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to clear up some space in advance. It goes without saying that internal SSD expansion options are available for those who need them.

The download size and currently available update version for Granblue Fantasy: Relink on PS4 and PS5 can be seen below.

- PS5 : 52.800 GB (version 1.000.001)
As seen above, Granblue Fantasy: Relink weighs in at 25.831 GB on PS4 and 52.800 GB on PS5, and will, therefore, require plenty of space for installation.

The pre-load will come with the latest update pre-installed for those who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to launch on January 29, 2024. Meanwhile, those who purchased the game on disc will need to download the update.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink was originally announced as Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link in August 2016. It is a collaboration between PlatinumGames and Cygames, with notable staff members including composers Nobuo Uematsu and Tsutomu Narita, as well as artist Hideo Minaba. First showcased at GranBlue Fes 2017, the gameplay features four-person cooperative multiplayer or single-person play with three AI characters. The official title, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, was revealed in December 2018.
