Monster Hunter World Iceborne Sets a New Sales Record, Okami Finally Passes 1M Sales

Capcom has updated its platinum sellers data as of September 30th, 2019. Here’s the updated sales number for Monster Hunter World and more.

Monster Hunter World has now passed 14.1 million copies. While this is a great result, the newly launched expansion has also recorded a sell-in of 2.8 million copies. This counts just one month of shipment for the game that is still not out on PC. Keep in mind that Iceborne requires the user to complete the main game so it is an expansion that is only good for those who have already completed Monster Hunter World.

Other numbers include 4.7 million for Resident Evil 2, 2.7 million for Devil May Cry 5, and 6.8 million for Resident Evil 7. It is interesting to see the legs on Resident Evil 7 which is now close to outselling the original PS3 and Xbox 360 version of Resident Evil 6 and subsequently 5. Both of these stand at 7.4 and 7.5 million copies respectively and are the second and third best selling games for Capcom. This doesn’t count their PS4 and Xbox One ports which have also sold more than a million copies each.
