Unknown Nintendo Switch SKUs Listed on GameStop, Possible Reveal On July 14

Fans have been speculating about a Nintendo Direct in July. GameStop has now added multiple unknown new Nintendo Switch games hinting at a potential reveal.

Nintendo recently held a presentation on Paper Mario The Origami King that also included a new game announcement from WayForward. There are rumors about another Nintendo Direct later this month and it could be announced as soon as next week.

According to a new rumor, GameStop employees have been notified of Nintendo performing a maintenance service for their eShop on July 14. In addition to this, four unknown retail SKUs (stock-keeping units) have been added to the database for GameStop that are usually added before major gaming announcements. These appear to be full-priced games and could be one of the many rumored games that are going to release this year for the Nintendo Switch.

One of the speculated games is a brand new 2D Metroid while there are also rumors that Nintendo will release a Mario Collection to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the titular hero.

Nintendo hasn’t announced any Direct for now aside from the presentation that they had live-streamed on YouTube earlier this week. They still have to announce their major games lineup for the Nintendo Switch that will arrive in Holiday 2020 and for the rest of the year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their plans might have been delayed.
